Lucina A. Kidd, DO

Dr. Kidd joined MUSC Health Primary Care in 2025. She is board certified in family medicine and received her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Midwestern University. She was born and raised in California and obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis, in neurobiology and physiology. Dr. Kidd completed her residency training in Tacoma, Washington through the University of Washington. After residency, she worked for the Department of Defense at Fort Bliss Army base in El Paso, Texas, where her husband served as an active duty staff physician. Dr. Kidd enjoyed working with military families as well as active duty soldiers and retired service members. Additionally, she performed various other administrative tasks and pioneered the start of William Beaumont Army medical center's first immigration clinic, of which she was the medical director. After three years, Dr. Kidd transitioned into the community and served as physician and site medical director for Sierra Providence urgent care clinic in El Paso. Most recently and for the past 10 years, she has worked as a family medicine provider for Boulder Community Health in Boulder, Colorado. Dr. Kidd is fluent in Spanish and enjoys practicing the full spectrum of family medicine, caring for patients of all ages and all ethnic backgrounds. She believes in a holistic approach to healthcare, addressing each patient as a whole person and not just a patient with a disease. She strives to empower her patients to be knowledgeable, informed and active participants in their healthcare so they can make choices to achieve the best possible outcome. At MUSC Health, Dr. Kidd will offer full spectrum care with a focus on extending healthcare services to the local Spanish speaking population and other underserved communities. She has a passion for the management of chronic medical conditions, women's health and mental health.
